Our History

Vertex's history dates back to 1997 when it started life as J. T. Hind & Associates, and later as American Consulting Partners, representing international brands and manufacturers.

Vertex Brands became the exclusive master distributor for Canada for Sunbeam Corporation's First Alert® and BRK Electronics® business in 2002. Vertex and BRK Brands parted ways in 2005, when Jarden Corporation acquired the Sunbeam and the First Alert business.

Since 2006, Vertex's focus has been on sales & marketing solutions for consumer products manufacturers and marketers, providing consulting services, and sales representation services.

Today, Vertex offers services that include all aspects of online / eCommerce fulfilment.

Tracy Fields has been involved in office management and has overseen national accounts receivable / payable at a senior level for nearly 25 years. With extensive knowledge acquired from duties in facilities coordination and administration, Tracy is a specialist in all aspects of office management, accounting, budgeting and cash flow, as well as a host of other administrative tasks. Tracy is particularly adept at the ongoing onboarding of SKUs into current product platforms and working within the various complex retailer portals. With a keen eye for the new, novel and interesting in marketing, she brings to the table sharp sensibilities in consumer tastes and trends.

Today, ​Greg's expertise includes all aspects of selling to Canadian mass merchant, big box, department store, drug, and independent retailers alike, and specializes in online eCommerce fulfilment.
